Project Brief & Skillset Role:
South Red Sea Shipyard (SRSS) located 2 KMs south of Safaga. South Red Sea Shipyard is perfectly sheltered against prevailing winds, protected by Safaga Island from the north and the Red Sea Mountains from the south.
With a capacity of more than 70 yachts
A Mechanical Slipway with a load of 450 tons ensures ease and safety for the yachts in haul-out and launches operations.
A covered painting shed of 5000 sq. m provides a protected painting process with compressed air painting equipment available.
Technical marine team specialized in all fields of marine projects
Extensive metal, stainless steel, welding, turning and carpentry workshops equipped with the latest machinery and operated by fully trained and qualified team.
With ability to provide all yacht spare parts and equipment.
SRSS Shipyard aims to broaden its scope of work by adding metal marine units to its portfolio, diverging from its previous expertise in constructing yachts with distinguished levels of fiberglass and wood.
This expansion has created the necessity for upgrading the shipyard with the required equipment, personnel, and administrative systems to enable it to achieve diversification. The company has entrusted the technical and administrative qualification for compliance with ISO 9001, Occupational Health and Safety Management System ISO 45001, safety requirements, and the requirements of the classification society to Skillset after reviewing and confirming its capabilities and experience.
SKILLSET Role:
Skillset has undertaken the design and preparation of comprehensive qualification requirements, including:
- Developing a roadmap for work with specified requirements.
- Conducting a site visit to determine the layout of the new machinery.
- Designing and establishing a production work flow.
- Preparing work procedures according to ISO requirements.
- Designing and preparing documents in accordance with ISO requirements.
- Training work teams on execution through an approved document matrix.
- Conducting internal audit activities before third-party inspection.
- Implementing corrective actions for qualification requirements.
- Providing assistance during qualification to support the shipyard in obtaining the required certificates.
- Applying all standards and requirement.
